A Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Navigator Built to support the social entrepreneurship ecosystem in Lebanon, to access networks, data, and resources.
Beyond Group along with partners Cosv and Oxfam have launched SEEN, An online platform, funded by the EU under the umbrella of the SEE Change project, built to support the social entrepreneurship ecosystem in Lebanon to access networks, data, and resources.
Lebanon today faces many pressing challenges that are affecting individuals, organisations, as well as overall sectors. Although the financial and socio-economic crisis is worse than ever before, many of the current challenges have in-fact been long-standing. Due to a lack of resources, political deadlock, and corruption, citizens have been left without access to basic services for the past 30 years. The private sector has also borne the brunt of the economic crisis in addition to the consequences of political instability and security risks.
Despite the bleak outlook, such an environment holds opportunity for social, cultural, economic, and environmental innovation. Social entrepreneurship promotes innovation and sustainable approaches to production, which in turn can help address prevalent challenges quickly and with limited resources.
In Lebanon's entrepreneurship ecosystem, both financial and non-financial support services can be found. However, as with any other nascent ecosystem, the available support services do not meet the needs of new businesses at various stages of their life-cycle. This hinders their ability to get established and grow successfully.
The social entrepreneurship ecosystem, on the other hand, is even more nascent and thus less mature. It holds significant support-gaps, specifically in areas related to social-business, tailored-knowledge and awareness, industry and sectoral expertise, investment and investment-mechanisms, as well as industry engagement, partnerships, and collaboration.
If existing and prospective social enterprises had access to the support services that enable them to create the social impact they aspire for, Lebanese citizens could collaboratively transform their social problems into opportunities, feel empowered and engaged in communities, create jobs and reduce poverty.

The platform supports the establishment and growth of social enterprises by providing them with tailored and need-based access to a digital support ecosystem that allows them to develop impactful and financially sustainable products and services.
SEEN will service the entire ecosystem including social enterprises, support organisations, service providers and the community through functions and features designed to address the needs of Lebanon's social entrepreneurship ecosystem.
